We are searching for a Head Chef m/f for a Mediterranean restaurant with modern-trendy Italian Cuisine in a 5* Luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia

Requirements:

• min. 3 years experience as Souchef or Chef de cuisine
• 10 years experience in the hotel industry
• experience in a similar Restaurant Category as Gault Millau or Michelin star rated
• reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• excellent knowledge of the Italian language
• to run a modern, trendy three meal period restaurant professional and with enthusiasm
• must have full knowledge of HACCP
• strong leadership, training, communication and organisational skills
• innovative and creative ideas
• efficient planning
• flexible and outgoing personality

Main tasks and responsibility:

 responsible for the quality of all food prepared
 determining quality and quantity of daily food products to be purchased
 recommends menu price adjustments
 responsible of the daily order of food products
 assists in budgetary and payroll expense control as required
 recognizes good quality food products and presentation
 checks and improves all service standards established
 manages food costs
 Co-ordinates between kitchen, stewarding and service and makes sure to maintain good relations with other departments
 schedules working hours of all kitchen staff
 reports all staff matters, recommends promotions, transfers and all staff related points
 conducts daily briefing and de-briefing
 coaches, evaluates and motivates all staff
 supervises staff activities to maximize revenue and minimize costs
 insist on personal cleanliness and proper discipline
 attends meetings and trainings
 accepts flexible working hours according to business demand
 to be aware of all hotel policies
 familiar with the emergency procedures
 communicates effectively with guests, subordinates, immediate supervisors
